Every price below includes labour, loading, transport and disposal, and is charged per load. Prices exclude VAT. Any optional extras are itemised at booking — we don't add fees at the kerb.
Pricing by load size
All services use the same van and the same rate card. Bands are by weight — we assess on arrival and adjust if needed. Prices exclude VAT.
A single item — sofa, mattress, fridge or a few bags.
A few items or bags. Quarter van load.
Bedroom clearance or small garage. Half a van load.
Small flat or a busy garage. Three-quarters of a van.
2-bed flat or busy house room-by-room. Full van load.

No surprise disposal fees, no doorstep mark-ups. Everything below comes as standard — and any optional extras (stairs with no lift, rear access, late collections) are quoted upfront.
Pricing questions
How is the load size assessed?
Load size is charged by weight band — a single item (up to 50 kg), then up to 250 kg, 500 kg, 750 kg, or a full load up to 1 tonne. We assess on arrival: if the actual load is significantly smaller than booked, we'll adjust the price down. If it's larger, we'll agree a revised price with you before loading anything extra.
Are there any access or timing surcharges?
Where there's no lift, we add £40 + VAT per floor to cover the extra carry. Evening and overnight collections carry a late supplement (£40 after 6pm, £80 after 8pm, £120 after midnight). Optional extras like rear-yard access or carry-through are £40 + VAT each. Everything is itemised and shown before you confirm — never sprung on you at the door.
What if I have hazardous materials?
Asbestos, paint thinners, clinical waste, and certain chemicals require specialist disposal and cannot be quoted at standard rates. If you're unsure, mention it when booking and we'll advise.
Do you offer trade or contractor rates?
Yes — contractors with five or more jobs per month qualify for a trade account with monthly invoicing. Email trade@tidewaste.co.uk to set one up.
Can I pay on the day?
You can pay by card on the day, or pay online when you book to confirm the slot. Either way, you'll receive a full VAT receipt.
